Two acoustic artists from two cultures creating one powerful wavelength.
Ugandan multi-instrumentalist Kinobe blends traditional and Afro-folk sounds in a deep homage to the red earth and wide skies of his homeland. He builds his own instruments, notably the 21-string kora, kalimba, flute, and a variety of percussion instruments. Kinobe has been touring internationally since the age of ten and continues to touch audiences all over the world.
Canadian guitarist, Michael Waters played guitar as a spiritual practice for 33 years until his encounter with the medicine ceremonies of the Peruvian Amazon triggered a sixteen-month wave of composition and the decision to begin playing publicly. He has performed in Africa, Arabia, Europe, America and of course his homeland, Canada. Michael says, "I have never met a musician of Kinobe’s age that has such a clear focus on where he wants to go with the music, and such ease at getting it there.”
